Participation from 14 Asian countries; Canada, Mexico and Turkey.
Each country report focussed on:
- status and type of management of water in each country (public/private/co-operative/mixed);
- existence of legal rights and protection;
- economics of water delivery systems (investment funding, pricing of water, tariff systems, national/regions policies governing these issues);
- approach to water commons;
- nature of water conflicts; and
- examples of alternatives.
Southeast and East Asia: Hong Kong/China, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines and South Korea (10:45am-12:15pm).
